This is their new formulation - Paraben Free
By bkfist
I've only used a sample of this hand cream, but it was a generous sample included with an order from L'Occitane. I've been using it for the past 2 weeks, and will be picking up more product.

Unlike the "lavender harvest hand cream" , this product does not contain Parabens in the ingredient list. Also shea butter has moved from the 5th to the 3rd ingredient. (The Shea Butter hand cream has shea as the 2nd ingredient, but also has parabens like the lavender harvest product.)

I love the way this product absorbs and dries quickly to a *totally* non-greasy product in less than a minute. You won't be leaving greasy fingerprints all over everything you touch.

The lavender scent is very natural and lasts quite a while on the hands. The scent is very unisex with a slight spice to it, and not overly sweet as some cream fragrances can be.

I would highly recommend giving this product a try if you don't like greasy feeling hands. This coming winter in Iowa will be the real test of how well it handles super cold/dry "crack your skin and make it bleed" conditions.

It's the first L'Occitane hand cream I've tried, as their other products that I've looked at have all contained paraben preservatives, and I try to avoid those when ever possible.

Strong lavender scent
By J. Appleby
I really enjoy this hand cream. I keep it on my bedside table b/c I find the lavender scent relaxing as I'm falling asleep. The lavender L'Occitane is not as thick & creamy as the original hand cream though. It's much lighter and thinner. The scent is very strong & distinct though. I recommend it, but if you're looking for the dense cream in the original or don't like a strong scent I'm not sure you'll be as happy with this one.

Love This Lotion!
By MountainTopMama
I have very dry skin, especially in winter, and there are two products that have helped more than any other. The first is California Baby Calendula Cream, 2 oz; the second is L'Occitane Lavender.

But if I had to choose, just for me, I'd go with this product (even though I love the CB line of products for my kids). The lotion is so incredibly light and it absorbs instantly. The scent is very light, but isn't 100% true lavender, to me. It has an almost citrusy (lemon/lime maybe?) tone to it as well, which isn't unpleasant, but if you're wanting a true lavender essential oil scent, this will be slightly different than what you're expecting.

My hands get so dry my fingertips crack open, even. Very painful. This hand cream works so fast, and so well, that it is worth every penny.

The only complaint I have is the tube it comes in is difficult to use at the end, and difficult to clean out for recycling. I wish they'd make it available in a tub form.
