The PURELL 5456-04 advanced instant hand sanitizer, 1,200 mL refill for TFX dispenser, is an antimicrobial gel that contains 70% ethyl alcohol to help reduce the number of germs on hands, and four moisturizers to help keep skin hydrated. This sealed refill bottle for PURELL TFX dispensers (sold separately) includes a fresh dispensing valve to help reduce potential germ exposure and a clear window to show the fill level. The hand sanitizer meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) healthcare personnel hand-washing requirements.
Hand sanitizers (also called hand antiseptics) are liquids, gels, or foams that help reduce the number of germs on hands when a small amount is rubbed into the skin; no rinsing with water or drying with towels is needed. In situations when soap and water are not available, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers can quickly reduce the number of germs on hands, but do not eliminate every kind of pathogenic microorganism. Hand sanitizers are not as effective when hands are visibly dirty. They are available in a range of sizes, from small bottles for personal use to large mounted dispensers for public or institutional use. They are also available as wipes: small, disposable paper or nonwoven towels soaked in a hand sanitizer liquid. Hand sanitizers are typically part of hand hygiene programs at health care and food processing facilities, where pathogenic microorganisms are common.

Quantity not as advertised

Amazon and their vendors seem to be confused on this item. Like another reviewer, when I ordered this it showed a case of 4 units, but I received only 1 unit from 'The Nerds' store.

Works well

Installed a couple of these in our church building. They work well. Only complaint is that I had to figure out that the stands, dispensers and refills must all be ordered separately. There should be a package deal, or at least an explanation of what all needs to be ordered together in order to have a functioning hand cleaning station. I had to place several orders to get everything needed.

CHEAPEST

THIS IS the cheapest anywhere. I have spent hours checking for prices, and i finally decided that this is it. Do not waste your time, there is none cheaper. This is 70% ethyl alcohol, i wonder if i can make it myself
