Worth Every Penny
By lmacbeth08
Perhaps unlike others considering this purchase, I have normal to dry, sometimes sensitive skin. I don't have "problem" acne, but in the summer my face sometimes feels like a grease-fest, and I'll get the occasional blemish. When I bought these I really just wanted a good exfoliant, as the mask I had been using got discontinued.
I've only been using these for three days, but the difference in my skin is amazing. My pores look distinctly smaller, and the two blemishes I had forming when I received the product were gone IN ONE DAY. Granted, you can use these up to 3 times per day according to package instructions, and on the first day I did, but I think generally it will only be necessary once or twice a day to maintain results. Also, this has officially replaced my normal facial cleanser, as the exfoliating side of the pads seems to remove every speck of dirt that ever thought about settling into your pores! This product has NOT irritated my fair skin.
A few things regarding the product itself: It contains 10% glycolic acid. This is the maximum amount of that exfoliant available without a prescription, so you get a high level of chemical exfoliation. You also get a very high level of physical exfoliation with the appropriately textured side of the pad. It's on par with home micro-dermabrasion kits. In spite of all this exfoliating power, these pads are packed with skin-soothers: chamomile, comfrey, green tea, aloe and allantoin, which is also used to reduce the appearance of scars in a variety of products. The only exception I would take with the veracity of the product description is the scent description. These smell like alcohol to me, not peaches. However, the scent quickly evaporates, and I personally don't care for synthetic peach smell anyway. The pads are not thick, but they are thoroughly saturated, and it only takes one to treat the whole face. Highly recommended, and a terrific value.

Cleared up hormonal acne...
By Jayd McFerson
I had to write a review on these because they have completely cleared up my skin. I was suffering from pretty bad hormonal acne when a rep at Ulta suggested these. They didn't clear up my skin over night but after using them morning and night for a month, my skin looks and feels amazing. I actually have people ask me what has changed. I don't have break outs anymore and my pores look smaller. Give it time to work. Nothing is overnight. But these are worth it. (I cut them in half and half is just fine). I haven't bought them online and feel a little nervous becaue you never know if it is the real thing. Has anyone used Payless Beauty? Might stick to Ulta.

Mostly alcohol with the not-so-exotic "peach bellini" smell trying to cover it
By K. H.
I was really disappointed to get this product and see that the first ingredient is alcohol and its almost 50% of the formula. The peach bellini smell itself is OK, but it doesn't cover the strong alcohol smell which turns it into something slightly off-putting. All the alcohol makes this stuff really strong and it stung my skin pretty badly the first time using it. At night I use the Clarisonic brush and using these pads after that causes my skin to burn and turn red. I also have plain old Sea Breeze toner that also has alcohol in it and the PTR pads are way stronger and more drying than that. I actually started using the Sea Breeze again and will probably only use the PTR when I run out of that. These pads get really good reviews on Sephora, so I might try them again for a longer period of time, but my first impression was not good. I love PTR moisturizer and use it daily. I wish this product had less alcohol in it. The "gentle" version of the pads have less so I might try that next, but they also have less salicylic acid. I also wish the product description would tell you up front how much alcohol is in this product. The Sephora description includes this % alcohol value (46%).
